As if I wasn't excited enough about getting to see Rascal Flatts on Sunday for the first time in 11 months, I found out tonight that David Cook is coming here to Iowa next month.
Wow it's been a while since I've wrote anything on LJ. Wow, where did September go?

I get to see Sugarland, Little Big Town, and Jake Owen here in town next Friday. =) Nominated my sister into attempting to get me a Sugarland M&G since I joined their fan club after seeing them in Monticello. Crossing my fingers for good luck but I haven't seen much posted on their mb about the CR show, so it's a probability I have a good chance.

On October 26th and 27th I'm seeing my boys of Rascal Flatts in Des Moines and St. Paul. Going with the local radio station's charter buses to Des Moines and getting up extremely early the next morning to leave for St. Paul. It'll be good times because I'll get to see a bunch of people I haven't seen in almost a year, not to mention my sister got me my RASCAL FLATTS M&G FOR DES MOINES this past Wednesday. Yeah I may or may not have freaked out while on my lunch hour at work when reading texts from her. lol But come on, can ya blame me? I haven't seen them in concert since last October in Moline AND I get to meet them again. Double the pleasure, double the fun. :p

<lj:music>Keith Urban Love Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing tour special on GAC</lj:music>

until I'm a year older. Yikes what a frightening thought. It also means the day that I get to meet Keith Anderson has arrived.

The beginning of this 11 day vacation away from hell I mean work got off to an interesting start. Moments after I had paid for the last couple of things I needed to buy (since the only day I'm going into work while on vacation is next Thursday AKA payday) the tornado sirens went off but there was no way in hell I was staying in there any longer than I had to. Thankfully I only live five blocks away at the most away from work. Got drenched getting into the car and making a mad dash under the carport at home. No tornadoes or funnel clouds were spotted here, just heavy rain and winds.

It was nice waking up this morning thinking "Yay I don't have to worry about what shit is going to happen at work for the next week and a half." lol Cashed in my change at the bank (would you believe I had $145 in change saved since MARCH, yeah it shocked me too) and got some lunch before getting my hair cut. It's now sort of like how Kelly Clarkson's was during the CMT Crossroads special. SO much lighter and softer feeling.
Afterwards I went shopping with my mom because I was in search of plain black jewelry to go with the shirt I am wearing Saturday. Not to mention the fact that I got two coupons from Penney's in the mail in the last few days, one for $15 off a purchase as a birthday gift the other was $10 or $15 off a $50 or $75+ purchase. I got two longer sleeved shirts for work since fall isn't that far away, a pair of jean capris, two necklaces, a bracelet, and a pair of earrings for like $70 after using two of those coupons.
About 8:30ish my sister dyed my hair and now it's an auburnish color. I'll have to take "after" pics later because I look like shit right now. lol

Starting a new year of life with a change. Hopefully turning 27 will be nicer to me than 26 was to me.

And third thinking about seeing Kelly Clarkson somewhere in between the other two concerts. lol So not going to have a voice by the time I go back to work, especially if I do end up seeing Kelly. lol

Good god. That means I'll be starting the packing process sometime this weekend. lol The list is written out, thankfully I worked on that Monday afternoon. lol

Good luck was with my sister and I Monday morning, she was able to get our tickets to see Daughtry here in town and I was able to score a floor seat to see Keith Urban in Moline on TM. What I wouldn't do to be able to smack them upside the head. It's the most wonderful time of the year? I think not. Dread these two months more than anything every year.

Ashley was in town this weekend to see her family and I was able to talk to her for a few mins when she came into work today. She finds it utterly hilarious about this situation I am in when it comes to someone. Well she's the one who stuck me in it. lol Had she not said before she moved away in August I wouldn't have noticed. But now it has me paranoid as hell. Got my vcr all set up for all the shows today, just need to remember to switch the tv to MTV before going upstairs at 9am.

According to some article I read on the Just Justin LJ, it says the US part of the tour is starting in January. So if he goes west coast to east, maybe it'll hit the midwest about March. That way it might be possible for a JIF reunion. Chicago, Cincy, or Indy we gotta hit up at least one show all of us together sitting by each other. If there's others like in Milwaukee, I'll be debating since Ashley lives up there now and I have a good idea of what venue he'd play at there. We'll cross that road when the time gets closer and what the funds are looking like.

Dork! Did you realize yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of meeting JT? Don't know why but it totally dawned on me earlier. Maybe it's because of seeing that really small clip of the SexyBack video on MTV. DON'T FORGET IT PREMIERES TUESDAY!

<lj:music>One Life To Live on tv</lj:music>

This weekend went by too fast. But here's a summary on the trip, part one of two.
- flight from cr was delayed 2 hours
- drove up and down the strip with all of us smashed in candice's car lol
- checked into the luxor. totally breathtaking and somehow we managed to have 5 people in our room without getting busted
- dumped our stuff off in the room and got something to eat. the mcdonald's we ate at across from mandalay bay has a 30 minute time limit. while walking back we watched the huge mandalay bay sign because it had a small video of rf on it because of the concert the next night.
- watched tv and eventually we all fell asleep.
- woke up around 7ish, showered, got ready, and walked over to mandalay bay to see if the guys had arrived yet. no sign at 9ish but we saw the semis and the wreckers' bus
- went to eat brunch towards the north end of the strip. can't remember the name of the place off the top of my head right now.
- came back to the hotel room and were on a mission to try to get all of us tickets to the show. candice had an hour convo between 2 people who work at the lv country station but no tickets.
- went swimming at the hotel. while out there jill found out from her friend val that mandalay was releasing 100-200 more tickets after 4pm. out of the 5, 2 of us were bound and determined to go.
- jill and i took the tram to mandalay and got tickets. we were in the show but they weren't the best of seats so we knew we had to get to the fan club table asap when the doors opened to get pit passes.
- went back to the hotel, got ready for the concert, and headed back. met up with val, mindy (a friend of val's), tina, and sara in line. once it was time to go inside, jill and i hauled ass, cutting through the lines to get to the fan club table.
- waited for faith to arrive and all of us got pit passes and were in the same pit. talked to jim, rf's drummer, for a few minutes before the show. oh and a jjber was in the pit. dork you remember amanda who used to stalk the guys via steve? yeah her. not to mention her skanky friends.
- show was awesome. the wreckers were good and in between songs they kept having a conversation while not near the mics. totally impressed with gary allan in concert. if he opens for another act i like, i may have to go. got a gary allan pick when the roadies were taking down his stuff.
- onto the main reason why we went: rascal flatts. during intermission between gary allan and the guys, i had made a small sign saying "iowa to nevada we need a hug" using the ticket envelope to see if it would work. and oh my it did work. can't remember off the top of my head during which song but all of a sudden, joe don dropped down on his knees and played his guitar for a good minute RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. afterwards he leaned down, gave us a hug, and gave jill a kiss on the cheek. while he was right there, he let us get picks off the side of his guitar. the other 2 saw our sign but didn't do anything like jd. i think jay mouthed "wow" when he saw how far we traveled. lol during the encore they sang "life is a highway" and the opening acts came out to sing "change in my pocket" with them. someone had thrown a magenta bra on stage and eventually it ended up around gary allan's neck. at the very end, all of them walked around the stage and catwalks shaking hands and stuff. here comes joe don again and he knelt down to give me another hug and kissed my forehead. *swoon* after all of them left the stage, also got jay picks that were still on his guitar thanks to one of the roadies.

well that's vegas for now. tahoe later. i wanna upload the pics i've taken to my computer and decide which ones are going in my yahoo photos.

Four days from now I will be in Vegas. An hour in Vegas to be exact. lol AHHHH! Started packing last night and hopefully I'll have it done before Jill gets here around 4:30 Friday. lol Nerves about flying over the Rockies is kicking in because I've never flown over mountains. Plus the whole meet n greet thing Sunday. Yeah I know, I've seen/met them before so what's to be nervous about. It just happens. Once I get there, the butterflies better be gone 'cause I have to give Gary crap about a couple things. Trying to give my phone to someone else in Madison and that damn MeatLoaf shirt. lol

Please pinch me. It's less than 2 weeks till leaving for Vegas and Tahoe. Two weeks from now my friends and I will be in LAS FUCKING VEGAS. AHHHHHHH!

Gotta start packing for Missouri trip either tomorrow night or late Tuesday night/ early Wednesday morning. There's no sense of me sleeping for 2 hours to wake up, so I might as well pack then. The 'rents want to be on the road by 6am at the latest so we get into STL at a decent time to do some sight seeing before checking into the hotel.

It annoys me when having a convo with a person I haven't talked to in a while for more than a couple minutes and they stop talking.
Totally crossing my fingers for a Justin Chicago House of Blues date. But I will cry if it's the same weekend as the Miranda Lambert/Montgomery Gentry concert at the state fair. I have a Miranda M&G so don't wanna miss that. Guess we'll find out soon.

I saw D at work this afternoon. Talked to him for a couple mins but yeah I hate when I see him 'cause that damn feeling comes right back. <lj:music>Keep On Singin' My Song- Christina Aguilera</lj:music>

A little less than 26 days till Viva Las Vegas. Yes, I am a dork and have an online customized counter for the day Jill, Mel, Katie, and I leave. Not to mention a counter for the Rascal Flatts Lake Tahoe concert, which is less than 28 days. I can't explain my anxiousness for this trip. Even though I saw Jill Thursday and Friday, I can't wait to see those girls and of course our Nevada girl Candice and to meet her mom.

Now that I've mentioned Thursday and Friday, where do I begin? I guess it pays to have a friend who gets in GA concert lines before I arrive and knows the bands or their tour managers. lol
Jill was about 7th in line for Jason Aldean's concert in Iowa City, so we were up close as in up against the stage between him and his hot guitarist Danny. *swoons* Got a ton of good pics. After the show, we waited around for Jason's band to pack up their stuff from the stage. Ended up getting his drummer Rich's and another guitarist Kurt's (who is from Des Moines, YAY IOWA lol) autographs, pics taken with them, drumsticks, setlists, I got Rich's sweat towel (whatever cologne or body wash he uses smells good because my arm smelled like it till Friday morning lol), and Jill got Jason's sweat towel. Those two guys were awesome about taking a couple minutes out of their time to do that for us. Danny promised after he put his guitars in their case, he was going to come over but he never did. Bastard. I left him a sarcastic comment on MySpace but I don't know if he read it though he approved for it to be seen. lol Jill and I headed up to where Jason's bus was parked and waited out there for about 20 minutes. There were a bunch of drunk girls out there waiting as well but thankfully their ride showed up. 10 minutes after they were gone and after much begging of Jason's merchandise guy Ryan (we explained to him that we were supposed to have M&G's but somehow when we arrived our names weren't on the list) Jason comes out of the bus, wearing an orange Hollister t-shirt, jeans, flip flops, and a baseball cap. Got pics with him and autographs. He signed the same Iowa hat Kurt and Rich signed and I asked if he could sign on the ACM consideration nomination thing I won on Ebay. He smelled really good too.
Pics from that concert:
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/behind_these_brown_eyes/album?.dir=/9562re2

Onto Friday in Tama. Blake Shelton. *swoons* Once again Jill was way ahead of me in the line to get into the show. lol First row of the non-platinum players area (it was at the casino so platinum players get the first 3 rows at outdoor concerts). The radio station sponsoring the concert, don't know it's name but it was from Marshalltown I think, had a huge birthday card for people to sign since Blake's 30th birthday was the 18th. I wrote "Happy 30th birthday Blake! Stay out of trouble!" on it. Little Texas opened for him, they were alright but it made me feel old hearing their hits from the early 90s. Jill and I were the last two people in Blake's M&G line, just so we could have more time plus we knew Brian would let us two do it 'cause he's cool like that. lol Blake was looking H-O-T. We were both swooning in line. ML is a lucky lady. While waiting, we noticed through his bus windows there was a hunting dvd on pause and there was a mysterious blonde in there. Don't know if it was ML or not. Finally it was time to meet him again. Jill and I promised each other we'd take pics of the other during our time with Blake. After getting a hug the first thing that came out of my mouth was "You came through with coming back to Iowa like I asked back in Madison" and he said something along the lines of "Yeah I did." He signed my Iowa hat with my silver Sharpie and Brian took my pic with him. It turned alright. Jill asked for a kiss for her M&G pic and showed him a funny pic that was taken at his fan club party during CMA Music Fest AKA Fan Fair week, explaining that she was dared to show him it. On the pic she had him sign, Blake wrote: "Throw this away Blake Shelton." Us two were cracking up about it on the way back to our seats. During his part of the concert we eventually made our way up to the stage. Got a ton of awesome pics. I ended up getting his setlist after the concert, otherwise I'd have no idea out of all his songs which he sang and in what order. lol
Pics from that concert: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/behind_these_brown_eyes/album?.dir=/2f6cre2

This upcoming Saturday night will be fun. I'm seeing Andy Griggs here in town and have reserved seats. Amie's supposed to be calling from Country Fest in Cadott WI on Thursday and Friday (when Blake and Rascal Flatts perform) and I think Mel or Jill might call from Country USA in OshKosh WI so I can hear the guys.

Since the last time I wrote anything in this, my fellow Nevada travelers and I made a decision as to what hotel we're staying at in Vegas. LUXOR BABY! Super excited about that. 55 days till Jill and I board the plane here in CR! Wooohooo! And 57 days till I get to meet the guys again!

Finding out important info three weeks before something sucks. Finally got the invitation to my cousin's wedding and if my family skipped the reception, we could've drove to Tinley Park to go see a certain band *cough* Rascal Flatts *cough* in concert since someone I know who knows someone who still hasn't purchased their VIP tickets through the FAM. Totally frustrating but I guess settling for a ton of phone calls from all the girls will have to do. I miss my Champaign and Madison crew. :(

Anyways. I guess I should finish floating around this lovely internet because lucky me has to be up at 5-5:30am. Work 7-3:30, go tan afterwards, and finally home to have the next 2 days off.
